These images were created right after it rained. At higher altitudes the fog was still pretty thick and made some of the images more dramatic. Weather does magic for scenic photography.

Fall Colors In Utah

These were taken in Little Cottonwood Canyon on October 4, 2010.

I still don't like digital photography as much as I like film. I just don't get the same color quality.

This one was taken in light rain.

Brigham City Tabernacle

This is the LDS Tabernacle in Brigham City, UT, taken 9/28/10. I love old architecture.

Taken with a Fuji Finepix S1 Professional digital camera, PC-Nikkor 35mm "shift" lens, and a linear polarizing filter.

Grand Canyon - June 2009

Looking west from Mohave Point on an overcast day.

First light. Haze and smoke from a forest fire to the east filled the canyon on this morning. The smoke caused poor contrast but also created some unique and interesting views.

Dawn in the Canyon. I miss film. I may start using it again for my low-light and sunrise/sunset shots. Digital cameras can't seem duplicate the subtle tones and extreme exposure range of these types of images.

How many separate mountain ranges can you count? I see 11.

The 'altar'. Truly an inspiring place and view. Prayer might be a good idea here; it's about a 400-foot sheer drop from just the other side of the altar.
